This was a great "mom & pop" restaurant in Baltimore that Jim, Joyce, Jeanie and myself found during the Baltimore National Convention. When the Legislative Conference made a short stop later the next year Jim and I returned along with Morris. This is a picture I will cherish.

This picture was taken at the NASCOE Convention in Cleveland, 2006. It shows Morris in true spirit...laughing it up and having a great time!! Pictured from left to right: Cristy Cook, VA; Morris O'Quin; Pat Willoughby, VA; Shelby Trail, VA.
It is such a tragedy that this happened. It is still so hard to believe. He has been a great mentor and friend for many of the membershere in Virginia, myself included.

Whether it was the grueling all day meetings or the recuperation afterwards by the pool, Morris seems to have always been a major part of the Mississippi Association of County Office Employee (MACOE) conventions. We will definitely miss his devotion and leadership to NASCOE, but most of all, more importantly, we will dearly miss his friendship. We considered him one of our own.

This picture was taken at our last AASCOE Board meeting in April. Just a few weeks before Morris fell ill. To no one’s surprise he had gone down to a place that we liked to eat at and brought a bunch of food up to my room that night around 11:30!
